A one-day orientation training for newly recruited EMRS guest Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) for the posts of EMRSs Ngopa, Chawngte, Lawngtlai and Tuipang was organized on 5th August, 2024 at Anganwadi Training Centre, Chaltlang. This program was attended by fifteen newly recruited PGTs of Mizo, English, History, Geography, and Economics. The orientation training was inaugurated by Dr. Lalhriatzuali Ralte IAS, Chief Executive Officer & Director of Mizoram EMRS Society, Social Welfare and Tribal Affairs. The Mizoram EMRS Society Chief Executive Officer emphasized the value of orientation training and acknowledged that Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) is a residential school to ensure tribal students get access to quality education in the remote tribal areas.

            The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) further mentioned about National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS), Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India and Mizoram EMRS Society, Social Welfare and Tribal Affairs, Government of Mizoram that both the organizations have been working together extensively and firmly to provide quality education to ST children by establishment of Eklavya Model Residential Schools in order to enable them to avail high and professional educational courses and to get employment in various sectors. Ensuring them opportunities at par with Non-ST populations thereby providing impetus to the overall development of tribal population in the country. After delivering a speech, the CEO presented an EMRS Cap to each participant.

           The Orientation training comprises four topics with four Resource persons and each topic were appropriately delivered by Officers and Principal.

         Pu Lalhmingmawia Sailo, Programme Manager (Administration) of Mizoram EMRS Society gave a presentation based on the Topic : 'Functioning of EMRS, Vision, Mission, Objectives, and Organizational Structure of NESTS and Mizoram EMRS Society'.

               Pi Zorinpuii, Superintendent, Social Welfare & Tribal Affairs gave a presentation based on the Topic : 'CCS (Conduct) Rules 1965 & CCS (Leave) Rules 1972'.

           Pi Zomuanpuii, Assistant Director, SW&TA gave a presentation based on the Topic : 'Health, Hygiene & Sexual Harassment at work place'.

            Pu Vanlalruata, Principal, EMRS Serchhip gave a presentation based on the Topic : 'EMRS PGT Duties with Rules and Compound Rules'.

 

The training session ended around 4:30 PM in the evening.
