Official Meeting with Key stakeholders.
The Additional Commissioner, Shri Prashant Kumar Meena, arrived at Lengpui, Aizawl on the 7th of April, 2025 (Monday) at 01:10 p.m at Lengpui. He was warmly received by Pu Lalhmingmawia Sailo, Programme Manager (Administration & Academi) alongside one other staff member of the Mizoram EMRS Society, Planning & Implementation Department, Government of Mizoram.
The main agenda of this delegation was to meet the key stakeholders; essentially various government officials under the Chief Minister’s department, Government of Mizoram; alongside having a full fledge inspection of the ongoing construction of The Eklavya Model Residential Schools within Aizawl and nearby Aizawl.
The official delegation was a much needed exchange to flourish constructive and remedial dialogues, in order to negate the issues, lapse and hurdles at the present scenario that may have incurred, obstructing the seamless execution in the construction of The Eklavya Model Residential Schools, in Mizoram.
Upon this significant delegation, Shri Prashant Kumar Meena, wasted no time and head straight for a meeting with a resolute and relentless dedication, to discuss the progress and resolve the impending issues under his cognizance.
The Additional Commisioner also met with The Chief Secretary of Mizoram, Shri Khilli Ram Meena, at his office Chamber at Mizoram Secretariat, Mizoram New Capital Complex in Aizawl.
Thereafter, the second meeting took place at The Planning & Programme Implementation Department, Government of Mizoram. The meeting was chaired by Shri Lalmalsawma Pachuau, Secretary, within the presence of Dr. Larinchhana, Principal Adviser-Cum-Additional Secretary to CM. Govt. of Mizoram alongside other officials.
Shri Prashant Kumar Meena elicited the master plan of the EMRSs in order to have a meaningful and amicable cooperation with the key stakeholders.
He iterated on the presence of 11 EMRSs that is stretched across various districts of Mizoram. He also discussed the key functions and the overall highlights within the trajectory of the implementation of the schools, alongside the new 48 Crore budget allocation for Mizoram for each EMRS.
Furthermore, he shed light upon the prospects for new proposals of the EMRS in all the 28 blocks of Mizoram, while demonstrating the eligibility criteria of erecting the schools.
He explained the transfer policies, and other relevant topics such as: the current proceedings of the schools and the overall portfolio in the meeting.
At the same time, official representatives from the EMRS Society, Mizoram, apprised the meeting with the current proceedings and overall progression made by The EMRSs, Mizoram. Both the technical and administrative report were given by the nodal Programme officials form Mizoram EMRS Society, Planning & Implementation Department, Government of Mizoram
The meeting resolved with a good outlook towards working forward for the best interest of all stakeholders. The same evening, Shri Prashant Kumar Meena met with the Honorable Chief Minister, Shri Lalduhawma, in the Chief Minister’s Bangla, at his Chamber and alongside Shri Vanlaldina Fanai, ICAS, Commissioner and Secretary to CM. The meeting shed preemptive measures in the reconstitution of The EMRSs infrastructures, future proceedings and enhancement of the overall management of the EMRSs, such as land allocations, water connection, and overall holistic approach to fulfil its visions to the fullest.
Both parties extended their keen and best interest in working together for a fruitful outcome and relentless exaltation of the implementation of The EMRSs.
The following day, early in the morning on 8th April, 2025, Shri Prashant Kumar Meena took the opportunity to meet up with His Excellency, Dr. General Vijay Kumar Singh, Governor of Mizoram; which His Excellency later took to his official X account. Mr. Meena’s official visit resulted in a productive and effective exchange of dialogue and meaning making. The EMRS Society, Mizoram has duly benefitted from his visit.
He left no stone unturned to make the meeting meaningful and impactful, all due credit to his profound leadership and expertise.
On the same day, he head for a site visit to The EMRS, Tlungvel. Pu F Vanlalruata, Programme Manager (Technical), from Mizoram EMRS Society, Planning & Implementation Department, Government of Mizoram, and his team accompanied him. Upon careful scrutiny during site visit, he directed the contractor to finish all the work within the month of April, 2025 with quality assurance of their work and overall safety and durability of all procurements made. He iterated and expressed that the work should be completed within the stipulated period, and upon failing to do so, the contractor was elicited with befitting penalties that will incur simultaneously.
On 9th April, 2025, the final day, and the day of his departure from Aizawl, the Additional Commissioner, alongside the key stakeholders under the Planning & Implementation Department, Government of Mizoram visited The EMRS, Tlangnuam, Aizawl, early in the morning, to see everything for themselves with scrutiny.
The much anticipated visit took to a halt, which has hopefully left a lasting impression and a new leap towards further prospects of integrity and coordination among all the governing bodies, and the fruition of the vision of all the EMRSs under the bounteous implementation under The Union Ministry, The Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
The Mizoram EMRS Society is deeply honored by The Additional Commissioner, Shri Prashant Kumar Meena’s visit; and looks further forward for more and similar interaction and official delegation to put forth all the visionary implementation of The EMRSs at its best.
